True dat...and most warrantys only cover tires for 6 years for this reason....ever seen a tire that was 6 years old with only 20000 miles on it?.....My first car had this situation could hardley keep it on the road cause they were so dry rotted/cracked.

Yea, im long overdue for a new set.

Im mainly looking for traction when it rains and mayby in the winter. I dont drive like crazy in the summer. I figure that as long as the tires are dry and I dont drive 100+ MPH then I can make do with any compromises for having better wet traction, but then again I dont know ***t about tires.
