How much are you planning on doing to your car performance wise and boost wise. A 3" exhaust is too big, and you will lose too much low end torque, with the stock supercharger pulley or one that isn't much smaller.
If you want an exhaust that will perform the best power wise and you like a meaty sound but not too loud, go with a 2.5". If you want an exhaust that will sound really good, and don't care if you lose some torque, go with a 3".
Keep this in mind...Our GTP has a 2.5" exhaust. If you see the 1/4 mile time in the sig. you will understand why I am telling you this.

I don't plan on doing as much as your GTP. The only other mods I had in mind was gutting the airbox and 3.25" pulley.
Maybe I will stick with the stock 2.5" and save me some money.

I had the 3" installed on mine. It was EXTREMELY loud, painful even. I lost a lot of low - end torque. I had the pipe changed back to 2 1/2" from the mufflers right to the 3" resonator and cat. It is still loud, although closer to what I wanted, and I have my Torque back.

Absolutely. Unless you have some KILLER mods (way more than my sig) don't go 3". Our stock 2.5" tubing is free flowing, routed in a less restrictive manner than the GP'*, and mandrel bent. Stick with it, and just replace the components.
