Default RWD Conversion?

So i was looking though some stuff and i came up with the idea of rwd. so my question is not if it can be done or any prices, i have the time and i know it can be done. Are there any other cars that share the same platform as the 95 bonnevilles that are rwd?

Nope. Given you would need motor mounts, cross member, and something to hang the differential on and suspension. Frame railing would be the way to go. I think it would be easier to just put a second FWD in the trunk.

I suppose, a guy could fab a full tub chassis. Incorporate some RWD components from the Zeta platform or the F-body. Maybe step up to an LS-based motor. Maybe a 6 speed manual. It wouldn't be easy by any stretch, but with deep enough pockets, it would be sweet.

There is a guy doing one somewhere. I forget his SN. Anything can be done with enough beer and resources. Just look at Venom'* car.

It'* not practical for most people though.

dude, that would be sick! i was thinkin that the other day, my only concern would be how large of a motor could you actually fit into the engine bay and would you have enough room for everything else that you would need such as a radiator and condenser.

i think it would be more practical to setup on a AWD base than turn the engine and work back... keep the motor, get an AWD tranny... preferrably a 6-man, and steup the driveline, and rear independant axle

we are all dreaming afterall... id like to roast all 4 at once to really throw them off

Maybe the AWD transaxle out of the late 80-90'* 6000 STE AWD? I don't think it could handle the torque and the weight of the car, but it might work...or the Versatrak transaxle/rear end combo.

The thought of an LS7/6spd combo is giving me some localized high blood pressure.
You'd be able to slay anything on the road with it provided a guy could get some traction.

traction wouldn't be an issue so much... the camaros and vetts are lighter with the same or similar power plants

I dunno. I was having traction issues all the time with mine, not that I'm complaining.....
but point well taken. I think that drivetrain in a Bonnie would probably be better.
Longer wheelbase, slightly wider stance maybe better weight distribution. After I win the lotto, I'll pull off the swap and let you know. Ka-ching, ka-ching.
