KYB GR-2 Struts
I got a set of these installed on the GTP last Saturday. My old struts were completely useless. I spent a good 2 hours driving back to school with these new struts today. It made a wonderful difference. The car rides great with these. They are a great alternative to your plain old OEM brands. They have better dampening characteristics, while still providing a comfortable ride. In conjunction with my new strut tower bar, stronger sway bars, and tubular trailing arms, the car is VERY stiff. There is little body roll, and making quick lane changes are no problem.
I highly reccommend these struts to anyone looking to increase the handling capabilities of their car, while not spending a fortune. Their cost is very similar to any other standard struts on the market, if you shop around a bit.

They make them for bonnies without auto-leveling in the rear. Or you can get just the front struts, and something else in the back, like monroe maybe

some lowering springs and you will be all set I bet that baby is a blast to drive with the upgraded suspension. Its a part of the car that often gets overlooked.

I have KYB GR-2'* on my 1997 LeSabre. Along with the upgraded front and rear swaybars, the KYB'* turned my car from an old fart floater with worse cornering capabilities than a minivan into a very firm riding, well controlled car. The 97 Bonneville has the exact same part # springs and struts as my LeSabre, as well as the same sway bars. The KYB'* are especially necessary if you want the H body to handle well. I don't understand how GM allowed these cars to have such terrible handling from the factory. A slightly soft ride is okay for comfort, but the bobbing floatiness of the H body suspension with factory low-damping struts is unacceptable.

I'm in need of a new set of struts. Where did you get them from? Also, I don't have the adjustable suspension option on my SSEi. This would mean that I could use the rear KYB struts with no problem right?

I'm sure you could, you'd have to check. I got mine from a local parts store. You just have to call around and find the best deal. If you order them online, the shipping is gonna be killer.
