Wow... 27 minutes to go 91 miles i could make it home in 45 minutes at that rate. Wonder what the world looks like going almost 200mph for that long. you can't even enjoy the scenery.
I think you should try and get one of the 79'* to beat that... that should be your new goal. Show them what a younger car can do.

Now back to some more shots of my progress today.
Rear brakes done.
Front brakes done.
One inner fender back on and the other new one ready and paint drying.
Tank dropped. Rad support ready for sandblasting. Rear lights repaired.
I'll get some shots later of the interior carpet in place.

Dean Martin :?: .....you havn't heard me sing.
Burt Reynold'* maybe....
Made some progress on the interior today.
Still have to work on the critical alternator bracket. If anyone can find a Firebird 403 alternator cast aluminum bracket.....it could be worth big bucks.
The door panels are gross. I salvaged them from a wrecked Z28. Previous owner butchered them by cutting holes for speakers. Don't ever do that. Mine didn't come with any. :?
Poor lighting cause it was getting dark.

I finally built up the nerve to add up all the receipts accumulated over the last 4 months of the rebuilding process.
$7,000. on top of the $1,000. purchase price.
Thank goodness my labour is free. Must have at least 250 hours into it.
.....and it still needs a paint job.
I think I will leave it flat black until next year. :(

spray that sucker down with febreze a few times before you put the seats in, that stuff does wonders to take out old smells, the car will smell like nothing after it all dries.
