Default I need exhaust help fast!!!!

I have a 94 bonneville se and i was wanting to put a new muffler on it and not a cat back system, and just stick with my stock 2.25'' pipes. what type of muffler should i buy for the sound not the performance and since i dont have a dual outlet what kinds of custom work will have to be done in order to make my single in to a dual outlet, and does anyone know how much this is going to cost at a muffler shop?

I put a Dynomax glasspack on my 92 bonnie recently, as well as a resonated tip. I don't have dual outlets, they don't really seem necessary, and I think I read on another post that they don't help performance-wise on bonnies. Anyway, the glasspack sounds really nice and the resonated tip smoothes out the sound, it'* really nice. I ordered the muffler and tip from Jeg'* for about 50 bucks and it was 75 for the installation and new tailpipe at meinike. I could give you part numbers if you needed, but you could just do a search.

I had a Summit Turbo mufler installed on my 1998 SE. I've built a Spectre custom CAI to upgrade the intake. I think the turbo muffler may have helped a little in my 1/4 mile time of 15.975@86.29mph,(and that was with the crappy .891 R/T). The turbo mufler cost about $14.95 US and runs around $25.00 bucks shipped. From thier it will take another $45.00 bucks for the install. It'* also a lot lighter than the stock muffler. And the sound is not harsh at all.

I'll be getting a Magnaflow muffler soon which I hear has a great sound, not the raspy rice burner sound. It'* a firebird/camaro muffler which can fit our bonnes.

no dude, i didnt make the muffler, just the exhaust sys. the muffler is a little mini thrush turbo, it looks like a mini flowmaster. its about 20 bucks at autozone, the rest of the system is straight pipes and a 45 degree bend, turns down right before the passenger tire, it sounds mean as heck

I've heard some exhaust sounds from these type of engines, and at high RPMs, some tend to sound a little ricey. Who makes the nice rumble sounds.
