bonneville'* and u-haul trailers?
has anyone towed a uhaul trailer with their bonny and if so how did it do? i'm having a class 2 hitch put on mine(even though i'm a little weary of doing so) and before i do i want to know all the horror stories first. my tranny is still in good condition and i want to keep that way. i do plan on putting a tranny cooler on it(this was a good excuse to do it) and i want to know any other suggestions of equipment that might be good also.

Transcooler is a great idea. How big of a trailer are you doing? What kinda weight are you pulling?
I can't say i've seen an 00+ SSEi witha hitch, but i'm sure it'* possible.
Willwren has a hitch on his 93, i'm sure he'll pop in with some info.

That boat better have been small. A car the size of a Regal, and FWD to boot? That'* just nuts.
I can't remember what my tow capacity was listed at.....it'* in the owner'* manual. I've successfully pulled my utility trailer numerous times, sometimes heavily loaded, but never more than 25 miles at a time. I wouldn't advice towing more than 1000 pounds for extended periods of time unless you install the trans cooler AND a trans temp gauge, and understand your 'normal' range of temps very well. My trans temp gauge and dual coolers are invaluable to me, especially when towing.

yeah i am definitly plan on a tranny cooler and would like some input on what kind to install and is this a difficult task. the trailer is a 4ft by 8ft so i'm keeping the size small, i'm only putting the kids bunkbeds, my sons crib, and their clothes in the trailer. i do plan on packing all the weight over the wheels and keeping the total weight to a minum. i called u-haul about putting a class 2 hitch on it and i haven't heard anything back from them yet. i also plan on putting the solid motor mount on it also cause my oe mount is very weak(about 6 inches of motor movement in it). i also have to go thru the black mountians in north carolina but i have planned out an alternate route around them. my father is a trucker so he picked a route that he says the hills aren't nearly as steep, it'* a little bit further but i'd rather do that than push the bonny on those hills.i also convienced the wife that putting a new exhaust on it from the original would help us on gas mileage also, now this trans gauge i heard about how does that hook up and where can i get one. i'm leaving on dec 11th and time is passing me by like a my bonny does all the jap junk out there. i plan on putting everything on saturday the 4th and need as much help info as possible and yes we are moving, i'm going to korea in january and the wife is moving back home with her mom so that'* the purpose of the trip, the rest of the furniture is going into storage for a yr so i've told her to take as little as possible so she promised she would leave the kitchen sink in the house (this woman knows how to pack a truck to where it has no air in it at all). i did a tranny filter earlier in the yr so i think that if i do get this cooler it will be ok if i grandma it on the trip ( question from sister-in-law=why did they built these cars like this and who were they really ment for, answer from me= they were built for little old grandmas with heavy foots or better yet for grandpa chasing grandma with the lead foot). i have also decided that everyone but my 7 yr old son will be in my wife'* car for this trip and she can fill her trunk but mine only gets the essential tools that i normally carry in it. also the spare tire and the jack is going into her car so i'm hoping to reduce the weight by a little atleast. here'* a question, how would an intercooler help? gas, power, temp or all?
thanks to all

Hmm.. that car looks familiar
What are those things called that attatch the trans cooler to the radiator.. through something like tie wraps.. but different? Or if that isn't what you used.. what did you use?
