TPS Mod: Idle not settling after over a week!
I did the TPS mod as perscribed in the Techinfo. First time I did it I set the idle voltage to .70 with WOT at 4.32. I had to change it back because engine was idling at over 2000 rpm! Car was vibrating like crazy at the stop lights and I was worried I was going to bust the transmission and I got tired of fighting with the brake, especially if I had to make a sudden stop.
So last Monday I took it back down to .60, plugged in the battery after it was disconnected for over 15 minutes. Idle was more like 1500 rpm and I didnt have to worry about rear ending someone. Now comes today. Each day since last Monday I have at least 2 half hour trips, 3 of those days last week I had 3 half hour trips. That is more than enough time/engine cycles supposedly for the idle to settle back down. Well it has not. Ether this mod is nothing but hot air or something else is amuck. :?: :?: :?:

You must have the main butter fly valve of the throttle body open (slightly) when you set up the tps sensor. Remove your air intake and make sure the valve is closed before making adjustments.

As an addition to this mod, we are also adjusting the idle set position a little further open. While the PCM will learn the idle voltage and this will NOT raise idle speed, it will give you more throttle response as you initially step on the gas. This part of the mod is optional but if you have a stock throttle body high consider giving this a try!

I wonder what that last pic on the bottom is supposed to show.
I had to do a forum search because you guys removed that article from techinfo. I guess you guys found out it was a fluke too but didnt bother to tell everyone else.
Reader beware, now I got to be more careful of any future "performance" articles I read here. Im reversing my settings tonight. This mod is

That link leads to this:

Which in turn pointed to this:

Which if you studied very carefully is the SAME EXACT link I posted before.
If anyone has the FSM for the 93, what is the default voltage values for the sensor? I would really appreciate this.
