Default What muffler?

Ok, my 95" SSEI was rear ended Friday and along with rest of the $1900.00 plus, damage are 2 crushed muffler tail pipes. :( The local GM shop sayes the muffler has 1 inny and 2 outty, with the tail pipes directly attached. They also said the original equipment muffer isn't available. Hard to believe. They suggested a local muffler shop order an after market one. Any suggestions on a muffler considering this car is pretty much stock? Thought about flowmaster and went to there website, couldn't find a part# for the supercharged 3.8.

Thanks!

I believe the Flowmaster 80 series hooks up to those cars.

80 series with 2.5 inlets and outlets work.

The exhaust setup is the same as an Firebird or camaro, so ANY muffler for 3rd or 4th gen F bodies will work, from any make, Borla, Magnaflow, Edlebrock (i wanna hear this) etc.

You'll need some pipeing built after it, but you can fab that yourself with prebuilt stuff from any autostore, or get some custom bent pipes.

Hey, another MN memeber!!! :P

What I have is a muffler for an F-body car (Firebird, camaro, etc...). They bolt right up to the stock hangers and have the right outlets. You would need the one for the 3.8 of that make, not the v8 (i think). Either way, I got a Magnaflow that'* polished. Sounds really mean, but I am missing the cat and resenator right now too.

OH CRAP you're from MN, hey check out the thread down below in the Eastern meet boards.
http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=22675

We're meeting up in lakeville this saturday, you can check out a few different mufflers there. I have a flowmaster, Damemorder will have the same setup, ssei95 will be there with his magnaflow... etc.

I'd agree with that. Magnaflow will be the best for performance by a slight margin.

If you want a good beefy sound, go for the Flowmaster. But if you want the most HP for your buck, Magnaflow is probably best(theres other brands that would net you more but they get spendy).

By the way the MN Club GP guys do exhaust mod days up in Alexandria( kind of far from Rochester, but for the price its worth it and you get to meet some other 3800 guys), they get good discounts and the exhaust crew is very competent.
