No, the ELC is only active with the engine running, you should be fine.

Which kit did you get? Are you going to take pics of your work in progress? A nice write up has never been done on a shift kit install for the bonne'* although a few members have em

Actually my ELC works with the engine off or on. We can get into the car wait a couple seconds and can hear the pump kick on.

I have heard about some cars ( not sure if it was ford or Cadillac) that have some kind of self leveling shocks, that if you do not disconnect the system before putting it on the hoist, it will literally blow the shocks, NOT GOOD, hehe.

BUT my 90 SSE is fine when jacking it up even though it works with the key off. The ELC is to keep the rear of the car level, it has a little actuator arm tied to the rear suspension, so if you are jacking it up and the rear shocks are being extended more that is fine since it will only turn on if the suspension gets compressed.

Default well i did it this time.

just got back from installing my tranny filter and washing her for tonight. i did get around to putting the thermostat in and now the next thing is the motor mount. i beleive it is getting weak due to the engine having a good half inch rock to the firewall when it'* reved up. is this normal or is my assumption right? well gotta go get some rest so i'll be on my toes tonight. thanks to all and if i gave the wrong impression about the tranny kit i appologize, i'll be more specific next time. i also want to get my 3.4 pulley and get it on there. one of the guys at the track that owns a gtp has one he says he'll sell to me for $20, and if i'm correct that'* alot lower than a new one.

preish to all,
cliff

P.*. hopefully i'll figure out what i'm doing wrong and get the pics up here soon.

The engine movement seems normal. Gotta see mine twist

$20 for the pulley is a good deal, ask for him to install it or at least loan you the puller
