Default looking at cai

I know there'* quite a few people with cai'* on there cars so I was going to ask around before I go and buy them. I'm getting one for my 99 explorer with the 4.0 v6 and once my bonne is done with the engine rebuild she'll get one too.

1)how much should I pay for one
2)what the best brand cai
3)any other do'* and don't'* I should know about

For the most part on a CAI brand doesn't matter. The filter is really the biggest deal. I payed a grand total of $35 (including shipping) for my CAI.

only problem is, those in the links are not cai, they are just open air intakes. i would either make your own, or shell out the 200 for a k&n product. i heard those intakes on explorers wake them up more then our cars

Looks like I'll shell out the 200 and get a K&N. For my explorer.

I've priced a do it yourself option out at about $100.... Check out BonneMeMN'* page

The best price I've seen on the filter is at www.ajusa.com
