Tranny Flush
I wanna flush my tranny. What is the best ATF for my car should i get it from my dealer or can i get it from a car store? How much will i need? Also what else will i need to do the tranny flush.
Im sure i could search for this topic. But if we didnt keep asking questions and kept searching there would be nothing to talk about.

my car has 155,000 kilometers on it. Im not so sure about the cheapest. It has a rebuilt tranny in it from previous owner. I wanna change the oil and filter any suggestions. I was told not to go synthetic. I run mobil 1 sythentic in my car. Why not synthetic in the tranny?

If the friction material on the bands is worn on a high-mileage trans, synthetic trans fluid MAY be too slippery, and cause the Torque Converter to slip.
Stick with conventional MAJOR brand name trans fluid. My personal preference is Valvoline.
I suggest changing the filter (that will by nature cause you to change about 1/3 of the fluid), drive for a week, then go get a flush. The 4T60'* around here have favored flushes in the past.

about a month ago, I had the tranny flushed on my 93 SSEi with 158,000kms on it at the time, they used Quaker ATF, shes good to go now, shifts good as ever, and the trans even had more fluid pressure afterward.

I, too, just did a tranny flush and filter change about a week and a half ago. I wasn't sure about a reputable mechanic here in my home away from home, so I had the dealership fix me up. Everything is working great, I'm making anywhere from 27-30 mpg on the Interstate, and the shifts seem slightly more firm. It'* great preventative maintenance to keep good fluid in your transaxle. I hope mine keeps running strong.
