The Turbo Coupe was a 4-cylinder.

I almost bought a supercoupe once. It is quick, but it'* no SSEi.

It'* hard to say who will win with him being modded. And the T-bird super coupe I test drove was a 3.8L SC'd engine.

yeah, i'd love to see how you put a pulley on a turbo

i believe the power rating is something to the effect of 210/315.

here'* a google...

The Super Coupe'* comes equipped with a 3.8 liter V-6 powerplant that is force-fed with an Eaton Corporation supercharger. The 8.2 to 1 compression ratio, combined with six computer controlled sequentially fuel injectors, completes the well rounded underhood package. While running at a maximum 15,600 rpm'*, the supercharger provides 12 psi of boost and as a resultant it develops 210 bhp at 4000 engine rpm'*. The engine develops 315 lb-ft of torque at 2600 rpm. The supercharged V-6 delivers ample power without much noise but an underdrive kit and a performance chip are available to boost the horsepower rating to 255 bhp

Pulleys as in underdrive pulleys. Since most any other engine has enough support to get a full set.

IIIIII dunno, the '90 says its got 210hp and a phenominal 315lb torque at 2600rpm and thats pulling 12psi of boost. And they weigh about the same as our cars. Add in the work he has done and this might be tough.

You can do quite a bit of headwork if you want without going with a chip. Everything I'm running is on a stock stamped Jet 2 chip and a stock computer. Granted it may be holding me back but its performing.

you want to beat him... race for half a mile instead of 1/4 ... and wait for his HG and oil seals to go... for asmuch as ppl complain about the Series 1 just a ticking bomb.. the 3.8 */c ford is WORSE. the Tbirds also don't launch very well (not that the Hbody does either) ... with those mods unless he'* running WAY bigger tires or slicks... he'* a burnout, and oil slick waiting to happen

if he can hook up he should beat you... it would really come down to the launch

if it were a turbo coupe with equivilant mods... I'd be alot more worried

and you should be able to do headwork, pulley, exhaust without a chip... you won't be making the absolute best power you can out of it .. but you can still do it.

his car is supercharged, and in a big way. Magnum powers style. According to the supercoupeclub of america web site and magnum powers web site his current mods put him in the mid to low 13'* (bad for me). The next round of mods (about 3 grand worth(must be nice to live at home)) will put his car into the mid to low 12'*. At that point it is hopeless unless I raise the money for thrasher to swap me into an L67 (with engine for about 6500). If anyone can think of any mods i'm forgetting to do let me know. One company (superchips) ofers a stage 1 chip. There tech support told me not to use it with a modified engine. But how could it hurt?
