94 SSEi CAI project.
Well, after reading about how stock intakes are restrictive, how our cars respond well to more air, and the ease of gutting an airbox, I figured I'd give it a try.
After tearing the entire thing apart, I realized that my airbox can't really be gutted..There isn't anything inside of it to gut.
So after I put the idea of simply gutting my airbox out of my head, I began to think of my other options...Like building a CAI
Almost immediately, though, I noticed this thing in my way. I saw that in most other years, the tank wasnt this large. Is there a possibility I can simply buy a smaller tank?
If that isnt possible, I'd like to at least remove the baffles from the intake tubing...all FOUR of them.
Most of them simply "pop" off, but how would I cover the holes they leave behind? Good ole' duct tape? Then there'* the matter of the baffle built into the box itsself.
As I moved up the intake, I saw this next to where it connects to the supercharger. What the heck is it?
P.*- This thing is the PCM right?

Not your PCM, that looks like the MAF
I assume that'* your windshield washer bottle right? Ya, put any size you want there.
If you chop anything off you can use parts of what you removed to make a patch and then use JB weld to seal it off.

Yeah, I was really curious about the giant bump thing next to where the tube attaches to the supercharger. There arent any wires connected to it or anything, it'* just kind of...hooked in.

Do you know where I could buy a smaller bottle? I assume that by putting a smaller bottle in, the 2nd sensor from the bigger bottle would have to be chopped off.
