LG3-3 HO HO
Any 87 Bonnevilles left ? I though this might give some guys inspiration. This guy is into his LeSabre big time and this may be the first LG3 build up at least in the present day.

Looks amazing! Yeah the '87s are still out there! Me being one such owner!! Mine'* still alive and well. Just needs a new paint job and maybe a little body straightening. But i take care of her as best as I can and do whatever i can to keep her alive. Thanks for the link, i'm glad to see someone really went out and worked on the same engine i got. It'* nice to see it all nice and pampered like this, mine'* covered in endless layers of gook and sut no matter how many times I wash it with degreaser. Oh well i still love it!

True Car Nut
My grandma has an 87'. For 150 hp that thing can move. I dare say its faster than my Olds from 0-30mph. Then my dumb@ss cousins towed a 4000lb trailor and blew the trans, it only had 86000 miles on it too.

You're right it overheated. Fluid black as coal. The car has just been sitting up by Sauk Center, MN. They, my idiot cousins want to junk it. I say WHY? Its a strong runner, burns no oil, leaks no oil, the engine probably has another 200,000 miles left in it EASY, and has many new parts. Well, whoever gets that engine should have years of trouble free running.

The old Turbo engines had them too.Similar I mean , ribed aluminum
The older distributor FWD engines had them as well but I know nothing about them. They might be held down by outside bolts but I doubt they line up with newer castings.
87 and earlier off center crank
88 and later Series I on center crank
I dont count the flow over of extra LG3'* into the 88 model years into the 1988'*

A few years ago I found a link that had a NA with a huge carb on top about 1/4 the size of the engine. It was an experiment, they got 500HP out of it a few times before it grenaded. I just can remember if it was a RWD or a FWD, it obviously wasnt a stage engine. It was to see what they could get out of the basic production non turbo engine.
The problem I see with the EFI engines is tunning and getting enough air through the TB and factory manifolds. Its not like you can just put larger carb. If internally balanced and RPMs are kept down OK, but I would not want to go 6000 often on stock crank and rods. Face it the old off centers were a 5200 engine and really camed out at 4800 anyhow.
