Here'* a write up. https://www.gmforum.com/t278802/ You can make your own shift kit if you wish. Go to a hardware store and but a bronze tube and cut to length, you only need a few inches. This will help a bit. The best kit, and the same one I have on my car is the intense kit. It comes with new O rings, filter, and extra springs, as well as spacers. Your shifts will be quick and sharp. But not so hard that daily driving is hard.

I've never installed a thrasher kit, so I can't really say. A while back a poll was taken and there was more members using the intense kits then all the other kits combined. Transgo was the 2nd most used kit followed by the thrasher kit.

I have the Intense Kit in my 2000 SSEi. It'* an easy mod and the kit is rugged. The shifting is awesome and like Danthurs says...and not hard enough to be a pain in a daily driver.
