I was cruising over at ZZP and saw http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_p...ts1.php?id=214
Would this work well or I think it would cause more turbulance in the intake since you are to remove the runners. Another question is would it help with the thin air we have up here. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated. This is for the Granprix but the motor parts should cross over correct

you wont notice much difference on a relatively stock motor, but with high ratio rockers or a cam youll definately have an improvement, otherwise the loss in low end torque will negate the small affect on top end power
and no, your not removing the runners, this replaces the runners and makes it more balanced to each cylinder
and yes, MOST grand prix engine parts will interchange

About 6hp and gradually goes up to ~15. And that was a mildly modded L36 (PEMs, D/P, PCM) IIRC.
Good investmet. Its MUCH better than the HVII.

I've only seen dynos with cams but from what I saw:
With a GT1 cam, the HV3 makes peak power at or just above 6k. The HVII and the GT1 cam make peak power at about 6300.
So, the HV3 did shift the peak hp to the left a few hundred rpm and also made for more midrange.
I still think exhaust work and rockers should be in order before this mod though.
