2000 ssei exhaust
Have a 2000pic Ssei with a few perfomance mods on it and want a better sounding exhaust note. Was thinking about getting new magnaflow mufflers for a fierbird, take it to an exhaust shop and let them do the work and do a resonator and cat delete. Any idea for the exhaust note or how much this would cost me?

Not sure on the type of muffler to use. It'* a matter of personal taste with the ears.
Remember, if you delete the cat, your going to get a check engine light because the downstream O2 isn't seeing anything. But, you already have a high flow cat, so why remove it?

It'* going to vary from shop to shop. Just call around and ask what it would cost to replace a muffler with a new one you already own.

I prefer the sound of the "tamer" exhausts on these car. Magnaflows and Flowmaster sound great at idle, but they sound very ricerish above that.
I have Thrush Turbo mufflers, and I love the sound.

Personally I would leave the resonator in. I had mine off and it just made it sound raspy, ended up putting it back on. I like the sound of mine and I ended up going 3 in DP to high flow cat, resonator, and 3" all the way back to the stock Y, kept my factory mufflers. I've thought about changing the mufflers but haven't gotten around to it yet.
