Default 2000 SLE mods...help me plz!

I've already searched the forum for a bit, and I have a general idea of what I want to do with my car. What I'm wondering is how much I can expect to gain from the cheaper mods. by this I mean CAI, new chip, and some asorted supension mods. How much power can I expect to see from some simpler engine mods that will run under the $500 range? Also, what are some good supension mods to get it to handle a little better. I don't need anything drastic, just something that will make a noticable difference and allow me to have a little mroe fun and maybe do some auto-x. Thanks for the help, and sorry for being kinda lazy and not searching more...

CAI is noticable on the sound and a little on the buttdyno. (Actual numbers vary, and may not be much)

PCM will help with power, but isn't big

Suspension, Swapping to Energy Suspension endlinks helps dramatically in the corners. Many here have done it and are very pleased with the results.

the pcm doesnt really make power as much as it makes the add-ons work better. Start with an FWI, high flow cat and a 180* thermostat, from there you should go rockers/cam and PEMs along with the PCM

the PCM will help alot with auto-x die to the incresed throttle resoponse, but on a basically stock car, it will not affect 1/4 mile times very much

Thanks, that helped out a lot. I've figured out what I want to do with the engine, but I'm syill not sure about suspension. I'm not very knoeldgable about suspension mods (I only know my engine stuff). Could you guys point me in the rigth direction in terms of what I'll need. I don't want to spend a lot of money on it, but I would like it to be a little tighter. I would also like it lowered a little bit. I was looking to spend around $1000-1500 on suspension. What exactly do you guys recomend? Once again, thanks for the help.

anything other than upgraded endlinks will have to be a custom job, noone makes aftermarket suspension kits for the bonnies.. if your willing to spend 1000 or so you should be able to get some custom springs made up for the car, but it can only be lowered 1 inch using the stock rear shocks due to the auto-leveling
