Default I need a chip

I need to find a chip for my '95 SSEi. I'm not sure who makes ones for my year and who doesn't. I thought I heard that Jet Chips had one and DHP was working on one but I am unsure. Anyone know where I can get a good chip?

Because of you being the 'hybrid' crossover year between OBD1 and OBD2, Jet doesn't make one. Interesting point, though. The 92-94 SSE chip is still listed!

I think you are stuck. The only people I can think of that might be able to help you is Superchips, but its up to you. I have never seen a good Superchip that is worth the money. You are stuck because you are in the transition years between OBD I and OBD II plus the Series I / II swap. You are kind of stuck in your own little world. Maybe we should start a 1995 Bonneville N/A performance section?

I am a bit dissapointed in this. I was planning on this mod down the road too. It seems to me that if jet can make a Series II OBD II chip for the GTP/Bonneville, and they can make (or did make) a Series I OBD I chip for the 92-94 Bonneville, than they could certainly do someting for us Series I OBD I with OBD II connector bonnevilles. I think we '95'* should get together and call Jet just like Will and others called SCPerformance on the pulley!

I stopped by my local speed shop on the way home today. They are gonna hunt down some MSD ignition parts, */c pulley, and a chip for my car. I should hear back from them in a day or two and when I do I will post my findings here. Hopefully they may have some resources that will have something in the way of chips.

Ok, I just returned the call to the shop and got the price for the chip. If your not sitting down, you should be.

To get the Superchip it will be $309.99
To get it programed it will be another $500 (that'* right, needs to be customized for the car)
To help program it will take 2 hours of dyno time at around $230 and hour

Grand total = $1269.99 or in other words, way too damn much for any chip.

I wouldn't think that any custom chip would cost quite this much, but then again I have never got one before.

Should not cost more than $500 for a custom burned chip. You are getting ripped my friend, a nice big big ... big hole in your wallet. And why are they dyno tuning your car, you do not have enough mods to require that.....

I got perf plugs, perf wires, and a good size custom exhaust. I also had them quote prices for a CAI (gonna wait for the ADTR though), Stand alone MSD ignition, Smaller */c pulley, and the chip. I think that'* why they suggested the dyno tuneing.

It did seem that the price was high though, even for a custom chip. If you know where I can get one at a reasonable price I am all ears. My ride is hard to find one for. :?
