If you want to save some money and also get a nice performance increase, do what I just did today. I got rid of the stock pipe that comes out of the air box to the area behind the headlight. The stock pipe is really narrow towards the end. I put a 3 " pipe coupler on where that pipe used to be to suck air from behind the headlight area. There is at least an inch difference in size and I sure did feel the increase. I have a stock replacement K&N filter in the box. Cost me $7 in parts and gained alot of flow.

Simply placing a cone filter on the stock hose will increase performance, even if it is sucking in warm air from the engine bay also. But build a heat shield or box around it to fix that problem. Also, if you are considering putting on a cone filter I would go for a smooth pipe instead of the stock one since it creates some turbulence you don't want.

LMAO!!

I'm sure making one will always be cheaper if you know how. If you buy one, your always gonna pay for the overhead and profit...
