1.9 Rockers - Is it worth the cost ??

Ah. Ha. :o
All testing was done with a 3.0" SC pulley.
When they removed the 1.9 rockers and tried it with the stock rockers, I'll bet that it got some Knock retard and that might explain the loss of torque and 12 hp gain claim.

Well, I bit my Bullet and ordered the 1.9 INTENSE units.
I couldn't resist the sale price.
I decided to take your advice Shawn and didn't order the springs, pushrods or retainers. That saved me alot.
INTENSE doesn't require a core charge and that saved me more shipping $$.
My winter projects are now cast in stone.
Rockers and Lsd.

Enough of being penny wise and pound foolish.
I just bit the 50 caliber Bullet and ordered the LS6 springs, OR rods, titanium retainers, viton seals and Comp locks.
What the hey
No sense going half way.
....I decided not to go with the 105 springs because I am not going to do the cam...and if I do a few years from now, it will be easy to swap springs.

Thats gonna be one bulletproof valvetrain. (pun intended) Should spin up pretty high with no problems at all. Good luck with the install, and I hope you enjoy the new found power it will add. Are we gonna see a smaller pulley after the rockers?

2000 Silver Bullet,
it looks like we are on the same path this season . . . . i will have to wait until summer for the LSD though.
now with all this talk i am going to research that 1X cam mod. why did you choose not to go that route?

I'm running the 3.3" now and will probably go to the 3.2". I'll wait and see how much the rockers lower my max boost. I'll try to limit it to 10-11.psi.
Xac - I've done a cam install on my Firebird. It'* a lot more work and I'm not as serious with "my wifes" car, besides I'm worried about putting too much power into the tranny.
Baby steps a little at a time.
