Would my FWI have any negative effects on the car in the winter ( -30 celsius here ) ?

It might take away the lack of some horsepower. Keep the air filter clean and away from some liquids only so that they don't freeze and block off the filter. I'd keep it fairly unobstructed, but away from liquid buildup. There shouldn't be anything to worry about, except for how cold it is! -30 Celsius? I can't imagine that at all. Do you have any special additives or something like that for your engine fluids?

EDIT: Not you personally, but do people up there have offered to them some additives for their cars, namely engine coolant or so?

Besides the loud annoying IAC noise at startup you should be fine. I'm probably going to move my IAT sensor back to the stock location so the car doesn't think it'* taking in 9 degree air but running the FWI kit the way it comes from Intense you should be fine.

I've been blessed to have the F150 to drive this week so the SSEi has been resting in the garage away from the elements so she hasn't seen cold yet.

Well I have to put just like gasline antifreeze and the like but that'* about it.
But yeah this place goes from one extreme to the other, like 37 celsius in the summer and then one year it got to like -45 celsius. And that'* excluding windchill haha.

It'* been like -5 farenhiet (-20 celsius) around here and my bonneville is running like a champ and I do no fluid additives. Same old antifreeze (NOT Dex-crap), same old gas because gas stations already put additives in their tanks for winter. I work overnights so I am starting it and driving it at the coldest points of the day. I also have a block heater on the car but I haven't plugged it in yet, I actually have never even tried it as I didn't even realise I had it up until not that long ago . The plug was hidden behind and under the battery.

What is your gas mileage up there? The additives burn with the gas, so I believe you'd have to burn more overall liquid to get the same results. Are you an entire mile per gallon off?

In my 89 Lesabre, with temps of 45*F + I was getting around 24 tops. Now I'm struggling for 17 mpg with temps around -15*F up to 5*F. I have to admit I do warm the car up for 20 minutes before I leave work Wednesday-Sunday. I'm not embarrassed -I'm only cold for 30 seconds (2 seconds after I step outside until I 5 seconds after I get in the car).
I do have to get a block heater, as that will help for faster warm up, which in turn means less fuel burnt, and also I will only need to start the car 5 minutes before I leave.

I am also getting horrible gas mileage with this cold.. 24-26 on the highway right now :?
