Just seeing which spark plug wires are the best went out and got the NGK TR55'* and left out the wires... lolz. Same brand or something else? Just trying to get the basics out of the way. Going to order my cam and headers and the rest of that jazz this weekend then put it in next week when i get the shipments. Anyways all posts help! thanks,

The recommended wires around here seem to be the NAPA Belden Premium wires (they're blue). I've got 'em, and they've been great so far. Lifetime warranty, so if one breaks or shorts out you've got a free replacement.

www.justmagnaflow.com for the cat and res. They don't sell "resonators" per se, but you can use one of their 4" round mufflers. Poke around and see what you can find.

I am running the TR55'* now and was reccomended Belden Premiums when I asked, so that'* what I went for. Haven't had a problem, granted it'* only been a few months. But willwren encouraged them to me, and apparently INTENSE uses those same wires in their cars, so both those sources are good enough for me.

What are THE BEST plugs and wires for a series 2 3800 N/A?

I have been looking for 8mm wires but Napa and Autozone dont carry them.Auto zone said they could order a set for 80 bucks.

8 MM? I thought you want 7mm.... thats what i just installed on my 97 SSE with TR-55 Spark Plugs and the Napa Belden Premium Wires.. So far so good all my mods are meshing well. Thats what i would suggest they are running great.

AC-delco ones are great and tons of people run them, even some of the fastest L67s. Last time I checked they were around $37 with shipping from Rockauto.com

There is no BEST. Just the most preferred. NAPA Belden Premiums took over the top spot by a large margin after Taylor wires fell out of favor for issues. Taylor and Bosch are prbably the most troublesome wires we've had.

8mm wires only buy you more insualtion which you don't need. We rarely short through the insulation with good wire routing. 8mm wires are difficult to get through the OEM retainer as well.
