I have an 02 Bonne SSEI. Only mod is a 3.4" pulley and a K&N air filter. So far I have only pulled a 14.02 @97.5mph in a quarter. I should have additional mods next spring and expect low 13'* and maintain over 20mpg.
Wow. Those Nitto tires must have been good for about a 1/2 sec improvement over my stock tires.

Actually I ran 14.37 on my street tires. But, contrary to some peoples belief, I'm still lighting up the Nitto Drag Radials of the line. My best 60' so far is 2.02. I should be able to pull low 1.90'* when I figure out my best launch.

Hey, 2000Bonne, get rid of that sc belt. I guarantee its slipping on you. Buy a Dayco belt 5060720. Dayco is the only company I've found that makes the 6 groove 72" belt. That 1/2 inch makes a big difference in the upper rpm band!!!

Help me understand what you mean. I am running with a 1" smaller 6PK1815 belt. The stock belt is a 6PK1838. These are metric size belts. 38 mm - 15 mm = 24 mm = 1". So do you mean that I should have only decreased the length by 1/2" instead of 1"?

Or, get this, you could get a Gatorback 4060715, which is 1" shorter and get no slip. (71.5") Oh, wait, he already did that. And, without any internal engine mods, and no exhaust mods, it is likely that the car is getting quite a bit of KR in the upper rpm band, so belt slip would only help (to a certain extent).

I think he may be confused. You done good, thats exactly what you should've done, 1" shorter is perfect, but you and I already knew that.

I completely believe that you can light up your Nitto Drags easily, we can EASILY light up the Slicks on the GTP.

I would give you some very good tips on how to improve your launch, but I'm not going to, because I feel like being a ***** right now.

I should have additional mods next spring and expect low 13'* and maintain over 20mpg.
What mods are you planning to do to get in the low 13'* in a SSEi??? That is gonna be hella modded. Also, I hope you can maintain over 20mpg, we get over 30mpg in the GTP. We averaged 26.8 on a trip to the track (75 miles), making 8 runs at the track, and driving home (another 75 miles). The mileage was 34.8mpg when we arrived at the track, the track is what killed the mileage that trip.

do you have a slip for that run. thats wicked cool for a car with only those mods. even the gtp cant do that
Not true. The fastest STOCK GTP that we know of on ClubGP ran a 14.09. The fastest with only a 3.4 pulley and K&N is like 13.7 or something.

SSEi Dan: You didn't happen to be at Mid Michigan Motorplex on Wednesday did you? There was a Black 2002 or 2003 SSEi there with a K&N, 3.4 Pulley, Nitto Drags, and a different supercharger belt (although I am not sure exactly what kind it was).

Anytime, as always.

Yeah, it frustrates me when newbies come in here and think they know everything. I am kind of a newbie myself, but I think I am quite a bit more knowledgable than most of the other newbies. I am not going to raise the BS flag on the 1/4 mile times, because I have seen freakish times like that on GTP'* before, and that time isn't THAT fast, so it is all possible, just not likely. Timeslips are what I would be interested in seeing. Are timeslips available for us to see SSEi Dan?

Hey there tough guys, tell me how to get my time slip on here and I'll get it on here. Milan Dragway, thanks. And just FYI, maybe did any of you think that this could just be a well built car. All you guys seriously believe that a low 14 second run is hard to get? Thats hardly faster than a showroom GTP, and you all make this out to be unbelievable. Maybe the newbie knows something yall don't know. Oh and by the way, yeah, I know the Bonne is a second or so slower than a GTP and yeah I know the "list" of reasons. Its heavier, weight dist., PCM aggressive, yadda, yadda. I also know a few GM engineers. My neighbor is GM at Roush technologies. I think maybe, just maybe we have a little idea of whats going on. Have a great day!
