Not to hijack this thread (sorry) but I saw a report on speed tv about how tracks are over charging and sending kids in the street to race. $10 keeps you safe and official time slips, Your local governments should speak up and save lives?

Test & Tunes at Mid-Michigan Motorplex are $15, and thats from 4:30-9pm. I usually don't have any problem getting in 10+ runs. Even with stopping and eating, letting the car cool down, checking the autotap logs, and then making adjustments to the car we can usually manage 6-8 passes in the GTP. It seems like a pretty good deal to me. I would go more often if it wasn't 70 miles from my house.

Yeah, Bonnevil, I agree. The tracks WAY overcharge, at least for the test-n-tune days. The Street-legal days are better at $20, but I feel BIR could do better (price-wise), but then again, they get such a large turn-out as it is, that lowering the price would mean some people not getting any runs in.
These tracks aren't very close to me either. BIR is almost 80 miles one way (North from Sauk Centre), and Grove Creek is 55 miles (south of Sauk Centre).

track times
yeah here in clarksville t.n. i run at the local 1/8 mile track it'* 10.00'* to run and in 4 hrs i think i might get maybe 3-4 runs in. now after 2am the kids go home and the real racers hit the track and i still can't get but a few more in. i actually haven't gone in a couple of weeks because of the law waiting outside the gates just wanting some excuse to pull you. i heard they are running agian tonight from 9pm to 4am just because their was so many racer last night and everyone was complaining about not being able to get on the track. but as we all know these comon ricers like eclipses, civic v-tech'* and civic type r'* are no match for us just a waste of fuel and wear. so nobody would race me last time i went out there except a mach 1 mustang and he didn't know how too drive i had him 3/4 way down the track.
