brakes

I was just wondering if there is any sort of break up grades other then the cross drilled rotors..(bigger front rotors/calipers,rear disks...or even high performance pads for the stock brakes)

I was wondering this after i tryed on the 18" gxp rims and thought that it looked a little empity in there and it just got me thinking so where better to go then the bonneville club for answers

There is a thread here somewhere about oversized rotors and brake upgrades. I don't know if anyone has actually done it, but I remeber the thread stating that the thoguht is the upgraded performance brakes for the GP will work. I dunno for sure. I do know that you really don;t want cross drilled rotors for street applications. I had a set of EBC slotted and dimpled rotors (gotta change my sig), but they warped on me. Currently running a set of stock Bendix. I would suggest somthing like RSM slotted with ceramic pads (my option for the next brake job, hopefully in the distant future). Paint those calipers and drums red to match the i on your badge. I love the look of mine.

See the last sentence? I broke that claim.
Love the signature! Always great to find a good sport! :thumbup2:

Would you please expand on this, as to why they wouldn't work or if someone has tried it. Thanks

The GXP and the 2k+ have different hubs and caliper mounting.

And stay the hell away from crossdrilled rotors. It's a cosmetic thing the ricers do, because they're too ignorant to realize it weakens the rotors and cracks them.
