BLAMMMM!!!! Crazy Explosions!

Sup B-F! Thats what I like to call da Bonnie Forum
Anyways my friend has been working on my trans am for a lil while and he pulled a little oops. He blew up the muffler!  He was trying to start the car and it wouldn't start (same as before I had him start fixing it), but he tried to start it too many times and all the gases built up in the muffler and apparently he got a spark from the engine or just too many gases and....BOOOOM! the muffler exploded.

However I wasn't able to see this awsome sight in person, but he told me it sounded like someone fired a cannon. Even his next door nieghboor came over to see what the hell was goin on. :D

I'll try to post a pic of the "new" muffler.

its an 86 trans am with a 305 that got swapped for carburated 350 (LT1) so I think the engine is from 87 or 88. Its an old school 3rd-generation f-body.

I didnt actually see it either, but I heard from my friend who was working on the car that the explosion was insanely loud. I still need to get a picture...

My buddies dodge did that when he had timing problems, Quite loud.

From trying to get a car to start? just so you know the car has still hasn't started. I didn't think a backfire would blow up your muffler. :D
