Is there a PCV spring on a 96 Olds series 2?
It wasn't in the original upper. Autozone nor Advance even had a listing for one, the local yard didn't have any S2'*. The dealer can get one for $20. My manual and the sheet that came with the Dorman UIM says there should be one.
Also, on the Dorman, where the sensor plugs into the pcv housing, the sensor is very loose even though the rubber boot is good. I'm thinking of putting the original pcv cover back on. Has anyone else experienced this?

Not sure if there is a difference other than the MAP sensor, but in my '95 PCV setup, there is a small o-ring on the bottom of the valve that sometimes gets stuck in the hole, and there is a big o-ring on the cover. You need both to get a good seal. And, although the older L27s used a spring on the PCV, I do not think the Series II L36 does. At least mine doesn't, and the FSM doesn't show one. Of course, the FSM also does not show the big top o-ring that IS supposed to be there.
We really need someone with a MAP sensor to help out here.
