Default Trans Sensor or Pressure?

Back in December of 04', right after I bought my car the trans acted up twice that month. Under 1/4-1/2 throttle from a start it would go up in first and right at the shift point it would hold for a second and then slam into 2nd gear. Ever since then through all of 05' and nearly 15,000 miles it never happened again. Well, today I had to do my route for work with my car. Stop and go for 3 hours strait. Lately the trans has been shifting erily smooth. I was really easy on the gas as I was driving up and down parking lots the whole time. When I was done and going on the main road I had to take off quick from the light to get in the left lane and it has returned. Only this time it held at 40mph for a good 2 seconds before the big bang into second. Do you think its heat related, sensor, lack of line pressure, or somthing else. No SES at any time.
1997 Olds LSS Supercharged. 262hp and 340ftlbs. 1/4- 15.1@ 92.04mph (stock), 2.38 60ft. Nope, I can't drive. 125,000 miles. White. Interior equipment; dual 8 way Aurora leather power seats w/ lumbar, two tone interior, theater dimming lights, CD and Cassette w/ Concert Sound III (nice), steering wheel controls, sun/ moonroof, ect. Mods: 3.5", high flow cat, 1:9s, and gutted air box w/K&N filter.
