Wiper Arm Snapped
Don't ya just hate it while driving in the rain and the drivers side Windshield Wiper Arm flies South for the winter.....uh.....spring? It seems metal fatigue finally did my wiper arm in and it snapped off at the base. Just where it mounts to the wiper assembly post. I'm assuming this is a Dealer Only item. Can one of you guru'* possibly find a part # for my wiper arm? GM Parts Direct maybe??
Oh, and Rain-X does help in situations like this.

try a local junkyard. im going as soon as i find out what part i need for my car and if you want i could possibly see if they have it if you dont get one by then. also rain-x makes the rain pretty much bead up and fly off the windsheild. it helped when my bmw 525i wipers decided to crap out and the part i needed wouldnt come for a week. you just cant put on rainx when the windsheild is wet.

Well, the good news, so far, is that I was able to get what was left of the old wiper arm off of the spline. A buddy of mine said he thinks he can locate a replacement wiper arm for me but thanks for your offer of trying to find one for me. 2olds88royale where are you located? Add that to your profile under location so we know where you are, and most important, where you aren't!
