Default DTC 13 and 44

My new to me Olds 1992 88 has the Service Engine Light on. Codes are 13 and 44.

Is this as simple as a new oxygen sensor to correct? Any other things I should troubleshoot first? If so, what? Thanks!

It'* possible.

If your good with a multimeter and know which pins are which, you can set your meter to mV and watch the display. If its constantly changing (like 200-600mV) then the sensor is working. But if your not seeing any voltage or you are, but its not changing a lot or is reading way too high, then you have a bad sensor.

If you do decide to get a sensor, stay away from Bosch. They suck in our cars.

Denso is the brand I've used in my Subaru when my front O2 went out. They're also rather picky about sensors.

Decent choice for the Olds?

AC Delco O2 sensor for $15 shipped off Amazon. Hopefully this will clear this light...which has apparently been on "a couple years now" per Grandma.

Forgotten Update:

New O2 sensor took care of everything. No more codes.
