Default 2001 Intrigue Needing some help

Hey, Its been a while since I have jumped on the forum, I am wondering If someone out there can give me a hand here. The old man has a 2001 Intrigue that is running around 180-190k I believe. I moved out a while back and haven't been there to see him but I know money is tight, and in my opinion, rather than taking him to dinner like my brother would, I would rather offer him a little aid with his car; If I can...Money is real tight for him, but he doesn't even change his own oil, why I have no clue, his dad used to restore cars from junk to shinin all the time....anyways! enough background! Please help me out, I know the very basic basics but what else is there to do a full check up, I don't trust his mechanic, but he does...

Grease the joints, change the fluids and filters, he told me he is having a lot of vibration when at idle, but it stops when he puts the car in neutral, motor mounts? how hard are they to replace. I am not heading that way for at least a month or two, any ideas beforehand would be awesome!

vibration is likely plugs and or wires. air filter is good to do, not likely any grease fittings. fuel filter likely needs done but just beware sometimes you touch it and it wont reseal you may have to go after some new orings.

had the fuel filter problem in buick....was thinking the same with plugs and wires, and filters. MAF clean, TB clean...etc. etc. how many o2 sensors on that year anyone know? Some people claim to just leave em others replace every so often it seems? I replaced mine just because I got a sweet closeout price on rockauto when I was ordering other stuff... Thanks for the reply! Is there a drain plug on that transmission. Trying to get him to tell his mech. to shut it and put the dex 6 in there. "well he says I don't need it" Then I'll do It!

i would guess two one upstream and one down. if i was going to replace them just for maintenance it would just be the upstream because the downstream is there to check the condition of the cat.
