1996 Olds 88/LS, Should we buy it?
Hey everyone, although I'm the new owner of a 00 Bonneville, my mother, the owner of a 92 Olds 88 is looking for a new car. She really loves the 88 and we saw one for sale recently. Its a 1996 Olds 88 LS. It has 95k and looks to be in excellent condition. Just wondering if anyone experienced with the 88'* had any suggestions about things to look for that commonly happen to this model car. Though we're not expecting perfection, it would be nice to know some of the more obvious signs that maybe we should keep looking. Thanks everyone!

How can you tell?
Is there an easy way of knowing when/if that has already been done? I mean is there any way to tell by just glancing at the engine?

Thanks for the link, but unfortunately it was all for not. Someone else bought the car! Man, my mom is so disappointed. Thanks for the help though, if we go to see anothe one at least I'll be more knowledgable.

LSS
Yeah, those LSS'* are pretty sweet. But frankly, she'd be happy to have Air Conditioning again. The AC in her 92 88 Royale has been out for two months now . . . and keep in mind we live in Tampa, Florida. And that 2-55 Air Conditioning is getting pretty old.
