Default 3300 Engine Coolant Leak

Hi Guys,

I've been lurking around this forum for a long time but never registered or posted, until now. I am having a problem with my 1993 Cutlass (3300 V6) and I can't seem to figuere it out. It is leaking coolant and when I went to investigate I found the fitting in the intake manifold where the water pump hose connects is made of plastic and broken. I believe I got the broken bits out but my auto parts store keeps wanting to sell me a fitting with a 5/8" hose nipple and 1"-14 threads. I can see this fitting is way too large. My threads look more like 5/8".

Any thoughts on what size this fitting is? I am getting desperate.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

Take a look in the heater hose fitting section, most stores have this near radiator caps etc. There should be oen that fits properly.
