92 OLD 88 sputter under acceleration
i have a 92 old 88 that sputters like it may be running low on fuel under light and heavy acceleration i have changed the fuel filter once (blow through it muddie gas got blown all over the floor) changed plug wires. icm(which got taken back cause that was a waist off 100$) it started with a code 41. so after hours of trying to get the balancer off i found a site that said you could just jb weld the cam sensor in after doing this the light on the dash went off so i assume the car is still in time runing like it should...i rented a fuel pressure tester last night that said and got a reading of about 34-42psi the book in the tester said it should be at 41-47 is this a big enough difference so be making my car stall even under light acceleration? its got the 3800tuned port motor( the one with the metal intake) im pretty sure it needs a fuel pump but id like any opinions before i go droping the fuel tank and spending 130 bucks on somthing that might not work
thanks jesse

Hello Jesse.
The fuel pump may be getting a little tired, but I'm sure that'* not the cause of your miss. Look over your coils. Start with pulling the plugs and inspect them. They should all be light gray to white. If one or two look different, make note of that coil. You may need to replace it, or all three.

nope last night i took all the plugs out burning good just a tad of white stuff on the number 6...changed the o2 and the plug wires spent about 2 hours looming them and making sure they wernt going to touch anything and now its just got a little bit of a serg under extreme acceleration so that has to be the fuel pump but its 100% better now...
but i do have another question if i do drop the tank to change the pump out is there anything i can do about the balest in there that is making it die when i go around a right turn at 1/4 of a tank or do you just have to buy a new tank any tips on this would be much appreciated
thanks: jesse
