Yes the tank does half to be dropped. Also my fuel filter is right by the driverside rear wheel. I hope this helps.

Did you replace just the fuel pump or did you also replace the strainer too?

Yep replaced everything all at ounce. Also if I may that is some good low mileage for a 92 model. Mine is about to roll over to 150k and mine is an 89 Delta 88.

Yeah this car was actually one of those grandma finds.
An old lady bought it new and she had to get rid of it because they said she was a hazard driving a car. lol

I'm glad you found this post to be helpful porksoda. Like I said earlier, have you slapped the bottom of the tank and started the old L27? Update me on what happens

also, you know where I can get a new front end for my 88? some IDIOT from Mexico trashed my right front headlight and cornering lamp. I need a website or a parts dealer to order the parts. I'll show a picture of how it looks with a mexicanada (diy fix with duck tape and salvaged broken pieces) tomorrow.
