    Dan,
Do you have any thoughts on how to mod my stock 2001 3.8. Maybe start with the coils I bought from you? I have a 180 themostat and new Delco wires, NGK V-Power plugs #TR55, Replacement air intake induction kit.

I sent a message out a couple of weeks ago about my bonneville. I found my receipt that I got from the shop that repaired or should I say tried to repair my car. I had to have me car towed because if would shift gears. The shop diagnose first two codes ( don't know what they were) but the cam & crank sensor was replaced and he test the engine. it had a lot of power but when the engine gets hot transmisson don't want to sift in gear. So now he tells me transmission is know good. Cost $1500.00 to replace.

Help me please, I'm trying to get this car running again for my granddaughter so she can get back and forth to school.

    Any advice would mostly appreciated.

    Thank you

    HenOra

    Dan,
Good write-up for tranny removal. As always, good images to accompany your directions.

Could I suggest that the block of wood used under the oil pan be specified as solid wood, at least 1" thick (or as you know appropriate). I tried supporting my oil pan once, but I used a piece of plywood which bent, and consequently indented my oil pan. The dent is slight, and as far as I know, there is not internal damage. But I consider myself VERY lucky.

Hey Dan, got the water pump done, all is good now...but i broke the oil pressure sending unit in the process. I got a new one form Advanced and my gauge pressure has gone from the normal 40 psi to 20 psi under load and in the red to 0 range at idle......is it possible that i got a bad sending unit? Is there a way to test it, resistance or something? Thanks, Eric

I was wondering if the shift kit you did in the performance tech info section would work on my '95 SSEi transmission.
