wow thank you so much John..... I'm leaving my house in the morning at 7am to drive 1hr and 30min to GA to test drive this car and your PM is just what i needed. I got to thinking, i have NEVER seen a Bonneville in person before anywhere on the road here in SC. So that and how it looks and everything i have read about it is making me want one. Good looking out. I'll let you know how it went when i get back... once again, Thanks

The biggest things are the fog lamps assemblies and the steering Intermediate shaft. When you get it, ,make sure the grounds to fog lamps are ecure and silcone the bases. Factory defect but no recall. All GM Bodies of the GXP class and SUV's have a steering problem. The angle between the links of the shafts is to great to keep grease in it, they tend to go dry between 30 and 60K. When it does you will hear a light clunk clunk clunk when you turn the wheel. Usually first just when stopped. GM got a redisgned one from a different vendor but it doesnt fare any better. It can be queited by removal and greased, or use the cheat method explained in tech info. The GXP's Northstar has a high compression engine of 10-1 and needs premium. It has anti knock sensors that will allow it to run on mid or regular, but that requires the engine to pull the timing and set the EGR and MAF setting that deprive it of gas mileage and performance. So your not saving money and it does wear on the engine. Your MPG on premium will be significantly higher to more than pay the difference. Also performance will be greatly improved. Also the ground strap to the battery should be removed and the paint under it sanded down and a dielectric grease put on. I love my car despite the quirks and wouldnt trade it. I love it's ride, style, and uniqeness. John
