Funny thing is that I changed the main page of one of my websites and it said merry Christmas on it, we then changed it to happy holidays cause someone mentioned that it is not PC.

j/k, I say Merry Christmas. After all, it is Christmas, b/c it is Christ'* birthday. If you don't agree, don't celebrate it, so you don't have to worry about it.

Except it isn't actually Christ'* birthday, just a pagan holiday changed to celebrate the birth of Christ to make Christianity more appealing to the masses originally.

I think the whole think is pathetic (the arguing that is)! They rip apart the Pledge of Allegience... they don't want "under God" said and they tried to keep it out of schools, public schools can not hold prayers, then they start on "In God We Trust" printed on money. What I don't get is why the f*ck we sit over here arguing over THIS when on the OTHERSIDE OF THE WORLD we're fighting for a bigger cause and people are dying for this country... but look at us... we sit here being foolish people, acting like young school kids arguing over something so unimportant it'* like arguing over someone cutting in line! But hey, that'* just MY opinion. I hate the news bc of that sh*t! But I chose to not sit around for the rest of my life and become one of those pathetic US citizens who don't give a rat'* a$$ about what'* REALLY important in the picture!

no one is arguing, and no one will argue.
Thanks.

Melissa, while I personally respect your opinion on these subjects (including the ones you added), don't you think your anger expression is a little over the top and out of place in this topic?

To think that many many many people first came to this country to escape religious persecution. Of course that was "a long time ago" (or was it?)

In any event, always a tough balance between giving people freedoms and infringing on the rights of others by giving too many freedoms.

But the way I see it, if it ain't broke don't fix it and I didn't think it was broke to begin with. Obviously there are others that have a different mindset.

When I posted that earlier, I wasn't talking about anyone in here... I'm talking about how dumb it is that this stuff shows up on the news everyday. Chill guys, I'm not knocking anyone in here!! I also wasn't saying "we" were arguing.. just people who end up on the news bc they have nothing better to do than try to make a mess of things that have been fine for so long until now. I don't understand why it was left alone and then "all of a sudden" it'* just so wrong. I think many other people get sick of it too. And no I don't think I was out of place, but thanks for asking. I guess it'* hard to understand how I meant it if you can't hear me say it. Just another flaw in talking through a computer.

The way I see it, you can say whatever you'd like. However, when it comes to government and in some cases business, it is in the best interest of all to be politically correct. In not doing that it simply establishes an implied national 'religion' persay, and that goes against everything the USA was founded on.
