Default in the market for a new printer? i found a great deal!

hey all. i stumbled on this by accident today while walking around staples and i couldn't pass it up. it comes with a 750 page toner cartridge and a 1500 page cart is about $50.00. thats about $0.03 per page!

just thought id let everyone know about the good deal. the thing is tiny, it takes up the same space as a standard printer.

They don't make money on printers, they make it on ink cartridges. I buy the cheap off-brand cartridges off Ebay and never have a problem.

I once tried to "refill" our copier toner cartridge from a different type of printer cartridge. That did not go over very well. Toner EVERYWHERE!

I think that printers is the perfect example of what a "Throw Away Society" really is.
When a set of cartridges runs about 70 bucks and a new printer can be bough, on sale, for about 30 to 50 bucks and it comes with the cartridges, well, I think it`d be a no brainer and the old printer`d go to the recycler or the dumps just because a new printer can be bought cheaper than the cartridges.
Probably does`nt cost much more than a dime to make them cartridges, but then, by the time they hit onto American soil, they magically transform into seventy bucks to replace.
I see Costco has a cartridge refilling station, I think next time I wander into their store I`ll take along a set and see how they doooo.
