Yes, I'm back.
Ok....finally finished up with the killer project at work. Settling back into the lab now, so my free time should increase slowly back to my previous levels. (maybe I can help keep some of you monkeys off Jr'* back now).
Today is my one year anniversary from being totalled in my Buick Roadmaster, the accident that finally got me into the Bonneville I'd wanted for 5 years previous. I'm still slowly healing. Sunday was the big test for me. Tackling 200 pound bull calves for a friend so he could castrate them. I'm sore as hell, and have alot of bruises. I think the bulls got the worst of it.
The car is another story. My front struts will be replaced soon....maybe this week. $300 bucks installed with a 4-wheel alignment. This thing feels like a boat. I'm going with Gabriel lifetime warranty. They pop and creak when I go from forward to reverse or the other way, speedbumps suck, and it doesn't corner too well.
My tranny is still going south, too. I just had the tranny flushed, but haven't had time to get the scantool on it to see how much TC slip I'm getting. The shifts are still as firm as when the Jet Chip went in, but they feel 'delayed'. The good news is the tranny is still pumping 70psi, and my mileage hasn't suffered. I'm hoping for more time on it, then get it replaced/rebuilt in about 3 months.
Other than that, the car is running great. The ADTR intake is amazing, and I'll be getting on with some more mods soon.
Great to be back!
