Default YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

I'm sure you guys can probably guess what this is all about, but for those of you who can't....

I GOT MY CAR BACK...GOOD AS NEW!!!

God it'* great to have it back to shiny goodness . I am happy with the repairs except for one thing...the trim piece is not exactly the same color as the rest of the trim, but I figured out why and theres nothing they could have done about it. Unfortunately, over time the white paint on the trim has yellowed just slightly, but it has stayed perfectly white on the rest of the car :? ...the new trim matches the car beautifully, but the old trim doesn't look quite right next to it. But I have decided to deal with it, because short of repainting all of the old trim (which clearly they are not going to do as part of the insurance settlement) there is nothing to be done. Besides, the new trim will probably yellow a bit soon too, so then it will match better anyway...*sigh*...the things we deal with for a white car I suppose. Anyway...it doesn't really look bad...you really have to be paying attention to see it.

At any rate, they did a fantastic job painting..the car looks very good.

And, in the same week I took out the "new" speakers...I have one thing to say about that...SONY SUCKS!!! I returned those crap speakers and am on the hunt for something better. It is just not right that two sets of new speakers should rattle (I was beginning to think I was doing something to mess them up...until I put in some speakers that had belonged to my brother in law...cheapy Clarion paper cone speakers...and they worked flawlessly [though the sound is not much better than the stockers, as I expected, but they are just temporary]).

Oh, and one more thing...I must say, definitively now, THE CURSE IS REAL!!! We got the car back on Friday, and on Saturday (no kidding now...absolutely serious) we got into another accident! This time though there was no damage to our car. I guess what happened (I wasn't there) was that a Grand Prix was driving through an intersection ahead of my husband and suddenly stopped, for no reason at all. He tried to stop, but there was a little ice on the road and couldn't stop in time, so he rear-ended her and poked a hole in her bumper with the sharp point just above the Pontiac dart on our front end. She got out and said "Oh my God, I"m so sorry...I don't know why I stopped like that...this is my fault", but I'm sure as soon as she reports it to her insurance company, the'll come after us anyway. :? You know how it is with rear-end collisions...it'* almost always the "fault" of the driver in the back...whether they could have done anything to prevent it or not.

Well...I think you're all up to date now :P...it'* too bad I haven't had the time to be around more often (I get online about once a week now :? ...I'm far too busy lately )...I'm hoping to have a little more spare time soon (I'm thinking of quitting one of my jobs), so hopefully I'll see you all around.

Lol...I know, I know. It is wierd though that we got in an accident, got the car in the shop, and a day after getting it back, had another accident.

Lmao...I love that. We've been hit in parking lots several times too, and there is almost always damage on their car and none on ours...lol...justice. Even with our first accident (the one that did damage), the other guy'* car looked way worse.

LMAO....

I have been to many Junk yards in the past, and I never did see a Bonneville that looked like anyone got killed... Most Bonnevilles looked like they held up well, and I'll bet the owners escaped major injury...

I saw a Saturn 2 weeks ago it was one of the new ones... SL 300 or something like that.. One of the larger ones... It was totally mangled... All of the door skins or outer part of the doors were plastic... It was just a shame... The car just folded... Loked like someone died in that car... I will never have a Saturn...

I also saw an Impala that was on the news here locally, It was in the same junk yard I was at.. And I could see where the people had looked like they bled to death... head on with a semi...
Eek...I hate seeing things like that. My father was a mechanic and liked to restore total wrecks...he regularly had cars that were drenched with blood inside (one time he pryed the dashboard away from the seat and found two severed legs underneath! ).

Not happy to hear the Impala thing either...that'* what we were driving while the Bonnie was in the shop. (I was just happy to have a decent rental )

Well, I'm not one to believe in curses, but I do have to wonder. I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed from now on (except while driving...wouldn't want to create a self-fulfilling prophecy :P ).
