Yeah common giveaways are use of the words "pls" meaning please, and "advert" because many of them cannot spell advertisment, "cos" is also used for because. If you lookr eally closely, you will realize that alot of it is worded wrong, as if a 6 year old wrote it.

That'* not as obvious as a scam as most I have received from craigslist. Every scam I got involved "certified checks" in amounts 1000s more than the selling price. While the grammar of this person is HIDEOUS, that alone shouldn't be a red flag when you get responses. A lot of good honest people can have poor spelling/grammar (just look at this forum. ) j/k
Seriously though – the response you got was that he/she would send a check in the full amount (no more, no less), you would keep the rims until you got the check (why wouldn't you? lol) and the rims would be picked up afterwards. Seems ok so far. I smell scam because of how he/she asked for your information. That seems pretty typical. Plus the check would be "certified." I doubt it. But you'd find out yourself eventually.
I hate posting on craigslist because of this crap.

If you ever do take a check , be sure to wait at least 2 weeks for it to REALLY clear before releasing the merchandise. Your bank can help you in determining when it'* really cleared; it is NOT the 2-3 days later when it shows up in your account, thats more like an anticipation loan the bank gives you. If the check bounces they'll be withdrawing the money right away and not even let you know about it first.
