Let'* just say it was serious blunt force trauma, with a foreign object travelling through my hand from the palm side out.
Will this affect your work with the laser Bill?

Not affecting work beyond about 3 weeks recovery.....with pay. Remember, this is my umpteenth surgery for this. hp has been great throughout all this.
Not saying what cause the '***'ident. Not my fault, though. a true accident. FREAK accident actually.

Hand was just turned funny. And it'* pretty swollen. That'* the right hand, but I'm fairly ambi. Not a prob usually. Funny the things you have to plan for though. After surgery:
1. Electric can opener or starve.
2. Shift with left hand (try that with a console shifter)
3. cover right forearm in plastic for a shower. Better get a back brush.
4. Electric toothbrush helps alot.
5. Don't even try to put contact lenses in.
6. Bottle opener? Better have one mounted to the wall, or buy canned beer.
7. Not going there. My daughter reads this forum.

I've tried shifting with the left hand actually. Hopefully you won't have to do it much longer.
I'm afraid to know what caused the accident. Sounds painful as hell.

7) lmao, wasnt that cause? joke...
sucks anyways... I know a few guys around work with missing fingers, one guy lost most of the skin off his right index finger (wire brush/buffer at high rpm) and was back at work the next week, plastic skin...
also I caught a grinder with a zip disc- low rpm... not a lot of damage, lots of stiches...
