WOW, bye bye Delphi!
I was watching the news and they said that on the weekend Delphi filed for bankruptcy.
I never would have thought it.

Delphi and GM are the blood lines of Flint. Was, anyway. It'* all over the news here in Flint.
They'll likely recover from bankruptcy protection. They slipped that sucker in just before 10/17/05. Pretty slick, IMO.

This hits very VERY close to home for me. I live in the town next to the Lockport, NY plant. There'* something like 4,000 people employed there. Delphi (formerly Harrison Radiator) has been THE major employer in this area ever since I can remember. Everyone I know is either employed there, or is related to someone employed there.
So...we've been hearing such rumors forever. I think it'* a strategic plan for GM to take it back over at a lower stock price. But, that'* just my 2 cents.
The funny thing is this...right up until last week, the employees were working all the overtime they wanted...I mean, it'* rediculous! pulling double shifts...working sats and suns...for a company that'* been running huge deficiets since 2001, they sure haven't acted any differerntly than they have for the past 30 years.

All airliners don't do well. It just isn't all that profitable of a business with all the costs that they incur. I can't think of an airline that isn't living off some sort of "welfare" from the federal government.
Like Will said, Delphi likely won't be going anywhere.

The government should just run all of the airlines and run it to break even to keep prices the lowest they can. And none of this price difference bullsheett. If you want to fly out tomorrow the seat (if available of course) should be the same damn price as if you bought it today or 3weeks ago. Also, I just dont get why a middle man who makes money on it can get the same ticket for cheaper.
Or why 4 nuggets cost 99cents and 6 is 1.99 McD'*.
Why the hell is a 2liter cheaper then a 1liter of the same product.
Whoops sorry little OT venting, been drinking
