My wife just divorced me yesterday. I can't sleep or eat. I don't know what to do or how to handle this. I have known her for 9 years been with her twice, no kids and been married for a year. I really love her and still do. I don't know how to moveon when she pops up in my mind evey single minute. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one likes divorce at all....I'm not married so I cannot say, but both of my parents were each divorced once. At least the kids won't be affected....no kids....

No kids and no it wasn't a surprise. I just could not take seeing her uesterday in court with what she had on that didn't make me feel any better. She was lookin fine! When we left out of the courthouse some construction guys walked passed us and turned his head and whistled and howled at her, then on the subway some guys turned around like they were drooling and I was so damn jealous, but there was nothing I could do. All she had on was a red and blue stripe shirt some capri pants and some gymshoe like shoes with the back out and her hair down. :(

I hate myself for not doing the little things that she wanted.

We have a few divorcees on this forum, I'm sure the'll be able to share their own experiences and how they got through it. At least it will help a bit

I'm sorry. I may be a woman, but there is little I can say either to help you. I've never understood divorce anyway...my parents were, and it made sense to me because my father was an abusive violent psychotic...but I've never understood it in cases where there is no abuse or adultery. Life will go on though...how old are you? I'm sure you have a long life ahead of you and time heals all wounds. Have you ever noticed that you can't remember pain? Think back to the most horrific physical pain you ever felt...now try to remember exactly what it felt like. Can you? God made us a resilliant people who move on from the pain in our lives; if you need comfort, ask Him (forgive me if I'm out of line, but this is how I deal with problems and it works for me).
