It was some stupid Renault 3.0 140hp SOHC V6. They were a very unreliable engine and thats why most premiers and monacos are in the junkyard. The whole car was actually designed and built by Renault I believe.
Actually the Motor was quite reliable, smooth and powerful for the time. The electrical system was the problem. Most of those cars had issues with the main relay box losing connection, thus causing the car to run poorly/ not at all.

I owned a 92 premier, fully loaded. It was actually a blast to drive (when it ran).

Lol.

Default Worst car I have ever owned

My 2003 Buick LeSabre Custom. This was a large comfortable car with leather seats and a smooth ride with exceptional highway mileage (more than 30 mpg!!). Unfortunately 3 power windows failed (the car was so bad that two of them were under warranty and cost me nothing), the load sensor in the rear end failed (also under warranty), the intake manifold gasket failed (70K miles), the traction control and abs failed (80 k miles), and the transmission failed at 95k miles causing me to get rid of the car after 7.5 years. I had the tranny serviced every 30k miles. During the life of the car I also replaced the rear shocks and the master cylinder. Oddly enough, the battery, which is located under the back seat lasted the life of the car. Lest you think i am a GM hater, my best car ever is my 1993 Caddy Sedan DeVille which I still own and cherish.

DaneJoe,

these are the things you wanna keep an eye out for, you dont need to be adding to a thread that has been dead since 2006!!

please keep that in mind when posting, you dont need to dig up old threads, and next time if you find an old thread that you wanna add something too, such as a issue with your car. Say someone posted a thread about the same issue your having, and they never got it figured out, and the thread is anything over 6-8 months old..what you can do, is always copy the URL and start a new thread in continuation of the old one

My worse car would prolly have to be a 1999 Olds Alero with the 3.4. Junk Motor! Car was babied, had less than 70,000 miles. Every option. Bright red 2dr. leather, p moonroof, ect.
Looked good but drove like poo.

Which is sad since ive bought $300 beaters before but they lasted forever and were always reliable

its a toss up for me, 83 Caddy ElDorado brougham with the 350 Diesel or the 94 Sable with the 3.0 that rusted so bad the engine fell out on me while driving home. Hmmm. I still have the caddy'* fake continental spare tire cover somehwere. LoL

Hard to say what my worse car was. I would say it'* between 1994 Geo Metro or my 1980 Bonneville. I'll say it was the cramp Geo Metro.
