For the record, I like the looks of the outside of the Camry Se, not the inside. I hate the inside of every Toyota pretty much, thats why I refused to drive one everytime a car salesman would suggest a toyota when I was looking for a car.
To 93-SSE, it sounds like you're describing a Yaris, not a Camry with the guages off the the middle.
...Oh, and I actually may end up with a Toyota this summer... A guy at work is going to sell his 1989 Toyota Supra Turbo this summer and I'm considering buying it as a second car.

^I'd say.
Please do watch out for the head gasket issue that plagues the 7M series of inline sixes - which is a problem that parallels the L36'* UIM failures. It'll happen eventually, but you can be proactive and fix it properly and shouldn't ever bug you again.
Properly = ensure smooth head/block surfaces (may require machining), and torque NEW head bolts down to 70-72 lb-ft vs. the factory'* rating of 55. Use OEM gasket or better.
I miss my family'* old Cressida :(

Too bad the Tundra was 35 grand and I'll never spend that much on a car.
