Default video question

Video question.....because I don't always have access to high speed internet, I'd like to download videos instead of just watching them, but because I'm computer illiterate, I don't know how. On streetfire.net, or putfile, or those, can a guy download the videos and watch them later?

Well, I do it quite often, but it'* kinda a pain to describe the process.

What you do is make your own html file with a direct link to the video'* actual location. Then open the page you made. Then just right click the link you made in that page and choose 'save as...'. Basically you make your own direct link, like harofreak00 is describing above.

Here'* the html code (copy and paste into notepad and save as whatever_you_want.html)

</head>
<body>
Get File
</body>
</html>

Just change the bold part to the file'* location. You will have to get this from the source on the page you're trying to get the video from (right click the page and choose 'view source').

Some websites have protection against this - pufile I believe has this protection. There'* nothing you can do (that I know of) to get around it. You will know if it has some kind of protection as the file you download won't be the actual video, or it will pop up and tell you that you cannot download it.

This can (as you can probably tell) become a tedious process, only made more annoying by finding a video with protection, and you end up not getting it anyways...

Something I've done is if you can get a direct link to the file (right click, properties, copy the url) PM it to yourself, or preview a fake post. Then you can right click that link, Save Target/Link As, and voila!!

Just don't forget, if you use the preview option, don't hit Submit. The rest of us might not care....
